Every Child Has The Right To A Safe, Happy, And Nurturing Childhood. Yet, Millions Of Children In India Are Trapped In The Vicious Cycle Of Child Labour, Forced To Work In Farms, Factories, Homes, And Streets—stripped Of Education, Health, And Hope.

At The Maharani Lakshmibai Foundation (MLBF), We Believe “a Nation Is Only As Strong As Its Children Are Free.” Our Grassroots Campaign “Stop Child Labour: Every Child Deserves A Childhood” Is Dedicated To Ending This Injustice Through Rescue, Rehabilitation, And Education.

The Reality Of Child Labour In India:
According To The Census 2011, Over 10 Million Children Between the Ages of 5–14 Are Engaged In Child Labour In India. The Numbers Are Likely Even Higher Today, Especially Post-pandemic. Children Are Often Victims Of:

Poverty And Lack Of Awareness

Bonded Labour And Trafficking

Lack Of Access To Education

Gender Inequality, Where Young Girls Are Pushed Into Domestic Work Or Early Marriage

These Children Are Denied Not Just Schooling, But Safety, Nutrition, And A Chance At A Future.

Conduct Raids In Known Hotspots—Brick Kilns, Roadside Dhabas, Small Factories, And Urban Slums

Collaborate With Authorities To Ensure Safe Extraction And Protection Of Children

Provide Legal Aid And Report Traffickers To Ensure Accountability

Rehabilitation Support
Immediate Medical Care And Psychological Counselling

Temporary Shelter And Nutritional Support In Our Partnered Child Homes

Recreational Activities, Peer Group Support, And Skill-building Workshops

Special Focus On Girls Rescued From Domestic Servitude Or Child Marriage

Education For Reintegration
Enrol Children In Bridge Schools And Formal Schooling Systems

Provide Uniforms, Study Materials, And Digital Tools For Learning

Engage Local Teachers And Volunteers For After-school Support

Offer Vocational Training To Older Children, With A Strong Emphasis On Life Skills And Self-Reliance
