Nari Raksha: Empowering Women With Courage And Care
In The Heart Of India, Where The Valor Of Rani Lakshmibai Still Echoes Through Jhansi’s Walls, A Modern Revolution Is Unfolding — Nari Raksha, A Women-centric Safety And Empowerment Initiative Led By The Maharani Lakshmibai Foundation (Mlbf).
Rooted In The Legacy Of A Queen Who Stood Fearlessly Against Oppression, Nari Raksha Is More Than A Program — It’s A Movement That Protects, Educates, And Uplifts. The Initiative Focuses On Self-defence Training, Legal Awareness, Digital Safety, And Mental Health Support For Girls And Women, Especially In Underserved Communities.
Since Its Launch, Over 5,000 Women Have Received Hands-on Training In Personal Safety, Cyber Hygiene, And Legal Literacy. The Foundation Has Collaborated With Local Police Units, Psychologists, And Educators To Offer Holistic Protection — Not Just Physically, But Emotionally And Mentally.
In Schools and Villages, Mlbf Conducts “raksha Clinics” — Interactive Sessions Where Women Can Voice Concerns, Learn Their Rights, and Receive Direct Support. One Of The Foundation’s Most Impactful Efforts Includes Setting Up a 24x7 Helpline Access And Deploying Community Women Volunteers As “Raksha Saathis”.
As Crimes Against Women Continue To Rise Across India, Grassroots Efforts Like Nari Raksha Are Essential. They Not Only Address Immediate Safety But Foster A Deeper Change: Restoring Dignity, Building Confidence, And Creating Fearless Female Leaders.
In The Words Of A Young Participant, “For The First Time, I Feel Heard, Safe, And Strong.”
The Maharani Lakshmibai Foundation Continues To Carry The Torch Of Its Namesake — Lighting The Way For Every Woman Who Dares To Rise, Resist, And Reclaim Her Space.
